Hi Ethel, Happy Birthday from a friend of Linda Bagley's. I heard a lot about you and your new site with her. Glory to God that you both are such great poets and it all comes from the Word and it all praises God. I've heard about you a lot and when she couldn't reach you during the storm in New Orleans last year or the year before now. It's seems like it was almost two yrs, I think now. She was a mess worring about where you might be. Thanks to her prayers and some of her friends also praying you were found because God needs you and he put your both together because you help each other out and the rest of us with your heartfelt words to us out on the airwaves or life. God Bless you and Linda too. I haven't read all your poems but I know where to look for them so I will check them all out. Thanks for your creations and love for God and mankind. My heart goes out to you and yours for your loss. I too have lost my first grandchild at 7 weeks old. But I have never had the horror to bear as you have. God has a reason for everything, whether we understand it or not. God only picks the Best roses for His garden, and He chose Alvin. God Bless you all. Wednesday, January 24, 2007:
The concerns of the American people have been ignored by those in power in Washington. They heard and listened to us during election time, but the tide has turned now; and those in power are leaning to their own understanding. It's time for the Democrats to send out the political Coast Guard rescue boats, and let America know, we have seen your SOS, and we are on our way to help...That help is coming in the form of Sen. Obama. Some would dare to shun a Black man; but why? His deep seated roots in the political world are all the groundwork he needs to begin and win a successful campaign.

America has gone through many transitions since Sept. 11th. We have stood and sat in shock, we have mourned, grieved, found some semblance of closure, became angry at the injustice of it all, gone to war with guns blazing and minds made up to defeat this enemy at all cost. But somewhere along the way, the purpose of it changed, not for Americans, for those in power. The need for freedom and what was right for Americans was no longer the focus. So we have come full circle now. Senator Clinton knows that Americans are tired of sending their loved ones to war, and seeing them sent back home in flag draped caskets, with no end to this war in sight.

It's time to hear a new voice, get a new oulook, grab hold to a new direction; one with the needs of the American people first. Americans want to be working together for a change. It doesn't matter if it's a woman or a black person, that's not the point. It won't be easy, it won't happen overnight; but with Senator Barack Obama at the helm of the political Coast Guard, she will guide us back on course to safety and wholeness in democracy for our nation. I proudly support her 100 %. I'm an African American Democratic Christian, (that's a mouthful), and I'm praying for the success of the Clinton campaign, and will be keeping my eyes open for anything I can do to help.
