Out on the Mira on warm afternoons
Old men go fishing with black line and spoons
And if they catch nothing they'll never complain
I wish I was with them again.

As boys in the boats call to girls on the shore
Teasing the ones that they dearly adore
And into the evening the courting begins
I wish I was with them again.

Can you imagine a piece of the universe
More fit for princes and kings?
I'll trade you ten of your cities
For Marion Bridge and the pleasure it brings

Out on the Mira on soft summer nights
Bonfires blaze to the children's delight
They dance 'round the flames singing songs with their friends
I wish I was with them again

And over the ashes the stories are told
Of witches and werewolves and Oak Island gold
The stars on the river they sparkle and spin
I wish I was with them again

My Words to dream by....

And in our castle many an afternoon
oh how we'd sit and just spoon,
and if the world passed us by we'd not complain
i wish we could do it again!

As us in our paradise galore
others envied by the score,
and into the next day such joy we'd win

Once in the dear dead days beyond recall
When on the world the mists began to fall
Out of the dreams that rose in happy throng

And in the dusk where fell the firelight gleam
Softly it wove itself into our dream

And the flick'ring shadows softly come and go
Tho' the heart be weary, sad the day and long
Still to us at twilight comes loves old song

Even today we hear loves song of yore
Deep in our hearts it dwells forevermore
Footsteps may falter, weary grow the way
Still we can hear it at the close of day
