Things Remembered

DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED DEFENDING NOT ONLY OUR FREEDOM,
BUT THAT OF OUR ALLIES AND COUNTRIES WHO HAD REQUESTED OUR NATION
TO GIVE THEM ASSISTANCE TO HELP THEM IN KEEPING THEIR OWN NATIONS
FREE FROM THOSE WHO WERE TRYING TO TAKE OVER CONTROL OF THEM AND
THEIR CITIZENS BY FORCE. THE COURAGE DISPLAYED BY OUR WARRIORS IN
THEIR EFFORTS TO DEFEND US ALL THROUGHOUT OUR NATIONS HISTORY AND
THEIR ASSISTANCE TO THOSE THAT COULDN'T DEFEND THEIR OWN COUNTRIES
WAS SECOND TO NONE. THEY ARE GREAT PATRIOTS OF OUR NATION AND HAVE
ALWAYS DEFENDED FREEDOM WHEN CALLED ON TO SERVE. I SALUTE THEM ALL
AND THANK THEM FOR THEIR DEDICATION AND THE PERSONAL COMMITMENT OF
EACH OF THEM TO OUR NATION AND THE COURAGE AND SACRIFICES MADE FOR
US ALL. WE MUST ALSO THANK ALL OF THEIR FAMILIES FOR THEIR SUPPORT
AND THEIR OWN SACRIFICE AS THEIR LOVED ONES DEFEND OUR NATION AND
OUR ALLIES NATIONS WHILE SERVING TO MAINTAIN FREEDOM IN OUR WORLD.

These are some of my friends who served in Vietnam, we did not
serve at the same bases there and some had served at different
times and years. They were Air Policemen, Security Policemen
or Augmentee Security Policemen who defended their air bases
with some of the greatest courage, honor and dedication that
was displayed defending their bases. They were brave men who
protected the personnel and assets on these bases from enemy
attacks, and some had performed feats to save others at risk
above and beyond their required duty. I salute not only them,
but also all who have defended our nation and the freedom of
the world throughout our history.
