What God Has Done
God has rescued us from the dark,
To walk in light when we embark;
To go to the house of His Son,
After our life here is done.
It is all because of the price,
His Son paid through a sacrifice;
To free us from death and the sin,
That is corrupting us within.
So this means all sin has been paid,
No longer of death be afraid;
Such a feat giving salvation,
By the firstborn of Creation.
Besides giving us a new birth,
He created Heaven and earth;
All that is both seen and unseen,
All that both will be and has been.
Christ is at the head of the church,
The source of all truth that we search;
And the beginning and the end,
Lord of all but also a friend.
Through blood sacrificed on the cross,
God made peace with us from the loss;
Turning the cross into a bridge,
So we cross over to His ridge.
