COME, AND LOVE ME

Come to me now

Bring to me your naked soul
and share with me all
of its beauty and vulnerability...

...and I will give you mine
   open and unveiled

There have been hurts we've both felt
and the malaise the heart feels
never truly subsides...

..yet even with the knowing
  this longing always stays,
  stronger than the memory
  of loss

To be loved
and to love
is the thing we all seek
even unto our dying breath...

...worth all that we have
   and all that we are

So, come to me

And love me
and I will love you
without rules,
without restraint,
passionately and
whole-souled
for as long as
we are allowed...
