Power of Joy
No one can take your joy away
Grounded in Christ day by day
In our times of sorrow and grief
He will bring comfort and relief
Joy is still a choice that we make
Not from circumstances at stake
The Spirit transforms us inside
With spiritual insight, He guides
By realizing the power of His name
Joy will replace our guilt and shame
By telling the disciples to take heart
It was encouragement on His part
Knowing God and His great love
Brings renewed joy from above
God reveals to us His divine plan
Love with no boundaries to man
Realizing Jesus has won the victory
Because He lives, we share His glory
By the Spirit, joy as an overcomer
Satan is not our master any longer
We can have full measure of His joy
By the fruits of the Spirit we enjoy
His Word declares to rejoice always
Command to follow all of our days
We can have joy in an evil world
By the Spirit and trusting His word
In trials, there is no reason to fear
They will end, as His return is near
