The Rooster The Rooster

I'm the only rooster in the henhouse
And that's the way I want it to be;
All the little hens don't know any better
So they all look up to me.
Other roosters have tried to come
Into my henhouse and tried to invade,
But all of these little hens are mine
So, you see, I have got it made.
If a bigger rooster comes along
Who can crow louder than me
I am rude and ignorant to him
Till he leaves and he lets us be.
That is how I remain the king
Of my little society;
If the rooster can't crow louder than me
Then I'm happy to let him be.
And the little hens will never know
There are roosters better than me;
For I keep them locked in the henhouse
And they'll never be able ta see.
And the little hens know no better;
My little hens can never be free;
And they only know this rooster...
I just allow them to see me.
