Tapestry of Fates
I was told by a few people that I should have(lol) used the word Thread instead of the word string in this poem, so I thought I'd explain why I didn't. I used the word string because I wanted the poem to represent not only the human aspects of fate and destiny but at the same time to tie it all together with Quantum Physics showing that the prime mover in this case are the Norns! So, it's about fate, destiny, quantum physics, and yes, a woman! lol
SomeWhen
Strings in a Loom The Fates Unknown
Predestination of Souls Seamlessly sown
Waiting and Waiting The Prayer to the Norns
Long is the string Winding forlorn
Urd,Skuld,Verdandi Fate they are making
Honor,Love,Death Life giving and taking
Can anyone escape them Let me see clear
No, not one Not even the Aesir
I can wait forever With Apples of Idun
Spin on forever To time I'm immune
I'll have my way I'm Far to gregarious
Fearing their ways Oftentimes Nefarious
On they weave Give thy decree
To thee I implore Ordain my destiny
Hoping and Hoping Life so Prosaic
Join you in Harmony Into beautiful Mosaic
Love
