I write because of your sin,
That had corrupted within;
But are forgiven through Christ,
Because He was sacrificed.
I write to you since you know,
How love from Heaven does flow;
And Christ lived since it began,
Since God had unfurled His plan.
For I know that you have heard,
In the rootage was the Word;
And into flesh it was made,
Onto us to render aid.
Helping with a foundation,
For giving us salvation;
Giving a means for to save,
Ourselves from the dark grave.
I write you since you have won,
Eternal life through the Son;
And triumph over darkness,
Leading you into brightness.
So do not love things of earth,
They have no eternal worth;
What it offers is not love,
As the Father gives thereof.
