From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
Caught On Her Smile

Seems like I always get caught on a smile…

She reeled me in
Hook, line, and sinker
The look on my face
Should've taken a picture
Kodak moment remembered for a lifetime
Dyme diva…I believe, yes,
Based alone on her features
My heart succumbing to seizures

Not since Miss Franklin
Has Black Beauty been introduced
Coma on this gentleman
Has never been induced
Yet based on my vegetable state
How long my heart will continue to beat
Is definitely a question for the experts
Energy not sure if I can exert

Circles am I running
Mind surely losing
Yet amidst all the confusion
Comes a voice of reason
Okay, gotta take time to listen
See what the Good Lord has in store
See if this avenue
I should continue to explore

Proceed with caution He says
You know your heart better than
One called any
Aches you've suffered plenty
Don't build yourself up
Just to fall flat
We both know you deserve better than that

Why'd she hit my soft spot
Is it cause she's Truly Beautiful
And that she resembles a flower
Oh my, someone shouldn't have this much power
Took me away from my blues
Gotta love that I'm able to choose
To pursue this undisguised angel
This feeling I don't think I can stop
