STORM CLOUDSA whiff of perfume drives you crazy, Will the aroma ever be forgotten? In envy the beauty of a purple daisy, Majestic laying in a field of white cotton. She has come to let you know, It is a one-sided love you cannot win. You find it so hard to let her go, But to try and hold her would be sin. You stay long enough to see her depart, For to stay away would not be forgot! This love lost bringing on a broken heart, Long will be the suffering that is your lot. The practiced words that came so easy, In lexis so memorized and well versed. Why does your stomach feel this queasy? You must only say them as rehearsed. Storm clouds are enveloping the sky; The air alive now with the singing birds. Two joggers as one come trotting by, Their chattering drowns out your words. In silence none are you able to say, As a train is rumbling down the tracks. You have to watch as she goes on her way, You know she too can never look back. Tears falling to continue so absurd, A river of falling tears cannot be restrained. As the sobs plummet in a mist to be unheard, Lost in the winds of sound in new falling rain.
