Believing through Faith
Are you really that dumb,
Try to make me believe;
Thinking I am a chum,
That you can just deceive.
What tree from which you fell,
That you have lost your sense;
Causing an evil spell,
Making your mind so dense.
Did you get the Spirit,
On just your own effort;
And personal merit,
As a professed expert.
You have to understand,
It is not done the way;
By which the human hand,
Is left to go astray.
It is the hand of God,
That is being your guide,
When you honor and laud,
And His Word you abide.
For faith is through the Word,
Which will come by hearing;
And grows as it is heard,
Causing godly fearing.
