From the Heart Through the Pen

Just As She Planned

Gazing at Diamonds Through Coals,
who'd guess this'd be my biggest weakness...

The innocence her jewels exude
Lets me know who's my next muse
The way they abuse my better judgement
I close my eyes to break the trance
All this does is enhance my other senses
And none of them are common

My eardrums echo a unique beat
The kind that makes you wanna move your feet
Tone deafening, yet I can't help but listen
The rhythm unlike any other
No control on what happens next
No control of this thing beneath my chest

Producing feelings I've never known
Amazing how they satisfy my needs
Her touch pierces my skin
Fingertips leave it tingling
Markings become permanent
Moment so exhilarant

And even better it gets
When I taste her lips
So much it may be bad for my health
So much it increased the way I felt
So much mine can't leave hers alone
How do I break free of this zone

When her aroma entraps me
Must be romance
And it's all through the air
Caught up on her scent
Some call it therapeutic
All of it unexpected

Opened my eyes in time to see
She had me so close to the edge
Friends pleading for me
To come off the ledge
Her lips pushing me to the brink
My mind no time to think

So I react
I grab her hand and we tumble
No telling what'll stop the fall
No telling when we'll land
So much occurs at once
So much I don't understand

Things going just as she planned
