I always believed that life could be better
…than all the hardship I'd seen
happiness born of each new day that's true
a life that feared not it's dreams
but search as I might …only more nightmares
knowledge never eased my dark dreams
the more that I knew the more that life scared me
and I wondered of my life to be?
Never a choice made without doubt of my true path
though truth walked close by my side
happiness could be just around the next corner…?
but more often than not… just denied
each pathway I walked always had consequence
and the better life I craved… never known
but the journey of life has given me so many things
without which I never could have grown.
