BEAUTY OF POETRY

I think the beauty
of the written word
Sometimes lost in control
 whose belief is more right
A sparrow rises and
disappears in the night
The Hawk, the dove,
The Eagle, a Hummingbird
All different yet as all
 share the same world
Across the seas a man
Just like me but we
Have never crossed paths
But he believes in love
Not hate so in that we agree
I hope someday this world
For we all believe in God
Will end these wars of greed
For the truth is there is but
This world for all of us to share
And God has left it in our care
We can share our love of all mankind
As shared in writings in poetry
This Valentine I send across the sea
As your majestic words came across to me
