I consider myself a strong man
But you have to understand
It is January 19Th soon near
The one day I shed a tear
Mom's birthday was the seventeenth
She died on January the nineteenth
In the hospital she fought gallantly
Her fifty sixth birthday she wanted to see
Then there was my sister Jeri
She too died on the nineteenth and me
Every year on the nineteenth I shed a tear
For I feel two Angels around me and near
Both are in heaven together I have no fear
But allow me the time for mourning to clear
Someday I too will have to face that day
For in this world we enter and leave this stay
So to shed a tear don't let manhood get in the way
Today though I will go out and celebrate
Three birthdays in January such is fate
Such is the circle of life we all must face
For the times of happiness death can wait
