Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

You...

You invited me quietly to come in from the wilderness
you reached out and took hold my hand
never asking the reasons why I searched through my loneliness
never questioning what is a man?
You offered me comfort and a warm place to feel at home
you spoke soft words that opened my heart
never asking the reasons why I was lost in the wilderness
never asking of the wars I took part.
You slept by my side and banished my darkened dreams
you held me when I needed to cry
never asking the reasons why my heart sometimes feels this way
never counting the hours pass by.
You have become the true master of my loneliness
you are now the only one I wish to hold
you are everything and all things of the beauty my eyes have seen
…please stay with me till we both grow old.
