My Strength
My heart was made bitter,
For my soul filled with grief;
Feeling like a quitter,
My mind in disbelief.
I did not understand,
As I felt like a fool;
Standing on sinking sand,
For thinking God was cruel.
But I cannot think grim,
Stop feeling like I died;
Apologize to Him,
And let God be my guide.
His servant I shall be,
Being my foundation;
For an eternity,
In giving salvation.
And without any doubt,
The unfaithful will die;
Their faith is not about,
Justice to purify.
My mind may waste away,
As my eyes and ears fade;
My body will decay,
But my soul God will aid.
