We face a most vicious fight in this life,
so Christian soldiers use these wonderful weapons
of spiritual warfare and fight the good fight.
Be sure to gird your loins with honesty
and truth, that you may be found standing
pure and without blame before the world.
Put on the glorious breastplate of righteousness
that you can protect the spiritual joy in your heart.
Place on your feet the wings of the gospel so that
you can share Christ's saving message everywhere.
And take the golden shield of faith that you may
beat back the fiery arrows of evil, and overcome
every angry attack of Satan so that you may know
the sweet glory of final victory in the Lord.
