Servant Trust in the LORD
The Lord has given me a tongue,
All of the words that it has flung;
That I convey to the weary,
When all seems so dark and dreary.
I awaken through each morning,
Just as the new day is forming;
Hearing the words that I convey,
With kneeling down while I pray.
And the Lord will open my ear,
With the words He wants me to hear;
Like a student in being taught,
To answer questions that I sought.
I am not one to turn away,
Which would be causing me to stray;
Nor could ever rebel from Him,
Making my faith and hope turn grim.
That is why I am not ashamed,
And will continue to proclaim;
Even though some will criticize,
Of His words that have made me wise.
I will not be turning my face,
From the ones trying to disgrace;
The name of the Almighty Lord,
That I have so loved and adored.
