Springtime's scent

To breathe once more of springtime's scent
of lazy day's each summer spent
of autumn's leaves all golden red
of winter's snow… so warm in bed.

To see once more through eyes renewed
each lazy day, both false and true
each autumn leaf lay on the ground
each winter's eve love's warmth abound.

To be once more of springtime's zest
where summer nights were at their best
where autumn leaves would lay me down
where winter nights were lost and found.

To be at peace now that autumns here
as springtime's memories still fondly cheer
now that summer's light begins to fade…
into winters night where dreams are made.
