For Cat Child

Old spindly toes and wobbly head
With unsteady feet took to his bed.
He took to his bed and was ready for dyin',
He'd rented his ruin and was in the market for buyin'
A little grey room with a high crouchin view
And a book which said "For Those With Nothin' To Do."
He fashioned a pair of fine used woolen wings,
With which to fly far above all mortal things.
Well-feathered, fine-formed,  always there to rely on...
A pair, which his earthly Mother had cried on.
