The Mighty Power of the Cross
The mighty power of the cross
Has given hope to all the lost
The blood stained wood for which he hung
The sins he bore of everyone
A guiltless soul was sacrificed
He suffered death; He paid the price
He cried to God forgive them all
He tore the curtains from the wall
He rose again on that third day
The power of God's saving grace
The grasp of death could not take hold
The prophesy had been foretold
The mighty power of the Word
Will reach the ears of those unheard
We do not know the day or year
We know that Christ will soon appear
