A Profession of Faith
This is the message we heard,
That is given in the Word;
Coming from Christ that is through,
Being announced unto you.
Without a doubt God is light,
No darkness within His sight;
His righteousness shines so pure,
As His glory forever more.
If being the same accord,
In a kinship with the Lord;
Then we can never embark,
Ever living in the dark.
If living within the dark,
Then you have no righteous mark;
For the truth is not within,
And you still live in the sin.
But if you put faith and trust,
In our God who is just;
If you will merely confess,
Our righteous God will bless.
If we keep the desire,
Then we make God a liar;
And we still live in the sin,
And the Word is not within.
