LOVE AND HATE

Love and hate are such nexus things
So often I say oh the pain parting brings
I have never known a love that ended
Some bad relationships to be mended
Sometimes there is a time to move on
Burning undying passion does not belong
Remembering the friends in days long past
There must be meaning they did not last
A love that lasts through the years
The good things shared as well as fears
One day a good youth friend said,
"Republican in my mind you are dead"
At one time he was a friend indeed
But the time was past his ego to feed
Only one person I must say I really hated
To have him out of my life I was elated
That man being my abusive alcoholic Dad
To see him in his grave I was glad
Yet love and hate as I say such nexus things
It is Mom in heaven who wears now wings
I find the real separation of love and hate
Really think about it love and hate an emotional state
