Never was a soldier
Never avoided fights
So when I joined the military
It was to protect your rights
There are allot of men like me
Doing the job to keep us free
And those that do I praise thee
For the pain inside not all can see
You see I salute the flag each passing
The veterans not just at the ballgame
For the day I see our country weakening
The time we lose to those who would inflame
For today I am seeing weakness and shame
Some would call a man a baby killer
This man hides whose own pride is lame
For I have seen the babies crying
Seen those being denied human rights
And as long as this is happening
Amongst the brave who take up our fights
Mom your son brought in a casket home
You are not crying for them alone
But for luck it was me a soldier unknown
For beneath this flag is valor rightly shown
