Prayer of Salvation
Teach me how to live by Your laws,
So I can rid me of my flaws;
For I do not want them ignored,
By me any longer O Lord.
And I will obey to the end,
Follow Your laws so I can mend;
This life through all of Your wisdom,
Preparing me for Your Kingdom.
Please help me so I understand,
Of Your teachings that You command;
So I can guard them with my heart,
Memorized so I can impart.
Please lead me down the righteous path,
Because I want to be spared the wrath;
And I will be happy always,
Blocking temptation all my days.
Direct my heart unto Your Word,
Impacting all that I have heard;
Keeping promise so I can fear,
And the strife for to persevere.
For I long for Your guiding light,
In keeping me within Your sight;
And living in Your righteousness,
Comforted by Your blessedness.
