Keeping His Word
Is there a likely way,
For a man to stay pure;
Without going astray,
By an enticing lure.
Only if he will heed,
Holding onto the Word;
Planting it like a seed,
Then he will be assured.
If the Word is engraved,
Down deep within the heart;
Then never be enslaved,
Allowing sin to start.
If you do not wander,
From what the Lord commands,
No evil can ponder,
In times of idle hands.
Find the joy in the way,
His Word gives you delight;
And able to obey,
For doing what is right.
Delight in His decrees,
Always showing respect;
You will be more at ease,
When you never neglect.
