Be Still and Know
God is our refuge and strength,
To persevere at any length;
Ever present at times of woe,
And able to face any foe.
For that is why we do not fear,
Knowing that our God is near;
During hurricane or earthquake,
With knowing He will not forsake.
Tsunami can bring walls of seas,
Tornadoes from a gentle breeze;
Volcanoes blow a mountain peak,
But having God it is not bleak.
There is a river as it seems,
That is coming from joyful streams;
And is flowing from His Kingdom,
Carrying knowledge and wisdom.
His wisdom building confidence,
In faith to have a strong defense;
Causing us to even rejoice,
Seeing the earth melt from His voice.
The devastation brought to earth,
No problem if you have rebirth;
As He puts an end to each war,
All nations on every shore.
Be still and know just who is God,
The reason you honor and laud;
Then you will let go your concerns,
And understand what your soul yearns.
