My Deliverer
I love Jehovah our Lord,
That is why He is never ignored;
For I have built my foundation,
In my faith for my salvation.
Such a fortress of solid rock,
Sure footing wherever I walk;
As my refuge also my shield,
My sicknesses that He has healed.
God is my strength and my Savior,
To persevere through my labor;
And always willing to obey,
When He summons throughout each day.
I continue to praise through life,
Even during the times of strife;
I will call while in distress,
Giving me a way to egress.
If tangled in a deathly rope,
God is there to help me to cope;
As my cries are reaching His ears,
I feel the calming of my fears.
For I know God will not forsake,
Even when the earth starts to shake;
He will detour me down a path,
That is sparing me from the wrath.
