MAUDLIN DAY

Sorry so close to Mom's day
The pen falls to paper
Yet the mind fades to tears
Sis's Praying Mantis Lilly
Peaks above soil breaking ground
I feel Angels all around
It is not fair to feel sadness
For it is a better place they be
Maudlin day for I am last of family tree
Moms and sisters can't live forever
Nor my Dear God should I wonder why?
But forgive me one day the tears in my eye
For I really never did say goodbye
Even though my love was always Known
Sis was in a coma before love was shown
If I display bitterness the man far below
I think it is pure justice he is stoking coal

I have two sisters actually so not really
last of family tree. But she from a different
father has a different last name you see
Yet no less of a sister is she to me
