What Done through Christ
The Lord has saved us from the dark,
So now in the light we embark;
And to the kingdom of His Son,
To where our journey is done.
Christ paid the price to set us free,
So we would be able to see;
To what He had for us in store,
Upon that far and distant shore.
For we now can get to Heaven,
Since our sins are forgiven;
Raising up each one from their tomb,
To the mansion for their new room.
The same image of the Father,
Christ is known as our brother;
And firstborn of all creation,
Suffered for our salvation.
But no need for trying to search,
A new leader for our church;
For Christ still remains at the head,
Continuing as He has led.
As the beginning and the end,
Christ remains also as your friend;
Even within the midst of strife,
He was first to come back to life.
