Sustaining the Righteous
When my heart filled with bitterness,
And my mind was seized with envy;
The Lord still sent His blessedness,
As my heart was feeling heavy.
I was stupid did not realize,
Just how much in being so dumb;
In the presence of the most wise,
With awesome power and wisdom.
Even at times when I am grim,
Being brutish and ignorant;
Never forget I am with Him,
And how God has been tolerant.
The Lord holds me by my right hand,
As His advice given to guide;
Remaining tall just where I stand,
A refuge on where I can hide.
In the end the Lord will take me,
To the glory where He does stay;
And then I will finally see,
All my doubts will be washed away.
There is no one else that I need,
Neither in Heaven nor on earth;
I will follow what God decreed,
Because of knowing its true worth.
