Patience in Hope
Out of the depths I call,
Looking from my downfall;
O dear Lord hear my voice,
So that I may rejoice.
Let Your ears hear my plea,
Of agony you see;
That does cover my face,
As I ask for your grace.
No longer can I stand,
My sins like grains of sand;
If You have a record,
On me You acquired.
Please make me free to live,
Asking you to forgive;
You are highly revered,
While honored and feared.
I wait for my soul waits,
Since it anticipates;
Of all that I have heard,
Of hope within the Word.
I put my hope and trust,
Into God who is just;
Giving mercy and grace,
That will always embrace.
