yard boy
i was a yard boy and took care of our neighbors yard:
once a week i cut the grass in the summer it was hard:
it gave me spending money of my own:
it took two hours to earn but was quickly blown:
i would cut grass rake leaves and shovel snow:
anything to help you know:
my next door neighbor and his sister mrs murbank:
they gave me my first real job and i have them to thank:
mrs murbank taught me attention to detail:
and to finish the job without fail:
i shoveled snow on many winter blizzards:
it was work back breaking hard:
i was very very proud of the two jobs that i had:
and i was only a lad:
shoveling snow mowing grass and raking leaves:
i worked very hard for every penny i recieved:
