Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Gazing at Nature's Glory
Late in the wonderful warmth of the spring evening,
I sit idly in my old, creaky rocking chair,
gazing out of my big bay window and am amazed
at the spectacular scene laid out before me.
I see stars dancing joyously in the deep azure skies,
and the full moon's glowing smile as it looks down
upon my tired,shriveled old form.
I hear the throaty songs of the bull frogs, the rushing
waters of the stream as it passes happily past, and listen
to the cheery hymns of the crickets and the hooting of
the owls as they serenade the wonderous joys of night.
And thank God for the wonders of nature's glory
on this warm spring night.
