rope around your neck
the marine corps is like a rope around your neck in all you do:
one wrong step you know they are all out to hang you too:
you can be a marine for twenty or even thirty years:
then have to face a boot lutenant who is your peer:
its hard to follow orders from somebody who is so young:
in there mind they are a hero unsubg:
people trying to prove they are the best along the way:
they try so hard to undo all everyday:
people become selfish and greedy when they want to shine:
they care not who they step on or leave behind:
you feel the rope around your neck sometimes it gets so tight:
somehow you grit your teeyj and bare the fight:
when there is a good leader youb cant even feel the rope:
because a good leader always shows you how to cope and keep the hope:
there is no greater love than another marine when he is true:
as real marine he knows he can trust hih life with you:
the officers they say integrity is a must:
you know they want from you all there trust:
but they are the ones who stab each other in the back to shine:
you know everyday it happens all the time:
people just want to be on the fast track to top:
they dont care how many people along the way that they drop:
but what has kept me strong all throughout my days:
i kept faith and hope and god knows i've always prayed:
i come to this conclussion with everything i have done:
i did my best and always tried to make it fun:
