i want to be the champion that i am

i want to be the champion that i am:
i want to remind myself that i can:
i want to remember when i was a boy:
my dreams my joys;

i longed to achieve greatness:
i really wanted to be the worlds best:
i dreamed to be on the victory stand:
i wanted to be the champion grand:

the winner of first place:
many times i lost the race:
the champion i am:
i always believed to win i can:

now when i am older with years gone by:
i do deeply sigh:
i feel i have had dissappointments more than my share:
i feel many times that no one cares;

i want to be the champion that i know i am:
i know for me god has a plan:
i know i am so much better than today where i stand:
i know i am a better man:

i want to be again the champion that i know i am:
i dont want to give up i want to believe that i can:
