STUDENT OF THE DAY TREASURE CHESTIn the fourth grade boys can be such brats Frogs and toads,puppy dog tails and rats Girls were soft and cuddly peaceful kind Believe that you can kiss my---bike in decline Ms. Prentice was the boys favorite teacher too She taught with kind words our love for her grew One day on her desk student of the day treasure chest Got the key to open it if she said you were the best Day after day the chest opened but only by girls In it things like candy and combs for their curls Soon we boys had it all figured out and it hurt Couldn't open the chest if not wearing a skirt Now I have to say sometimes I could be a bit mad But in her class perfect and kind never was bad Sally was awful answered questions when not asked She'd tattle tell lies and when caught wore a mask Boys had a plan we knew where teacher kept her list It was Sally's day to open the chest could not be missed A faked smile for the girls she sneered at the boys Pranced to the front with the key to gather her toys Sally screamed from the treasure chest out sprung a garden snake Sally and all the other girls went running in her wake It was a bit disappointing for me and my friends In the box were also frogs, ants, a worm chills it sends Worth staying after school never allowed opening the chest Look on Sally's face was better than the candy I must confess Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
