No Longer Slaves
We continue living in sin,
Thinking that the Lord will increase;
His mercy and kindness within,
For you to be living in peace.
It is just out of the question,
As far as sin is related;
And is not a good suggestion,
To what the Scriptures mandated.
But we live in the influence,
Which is why the reason we died;
For sin is in continuance,
When we have cheated and have lied.
We were dead coming from the womb,
When we were born upon this earth;
But baptized and placed in the tomb,
So we could be given rebirth.
No longer are we slaves to sin,
Since our sins hang on the cross;
As the faith cleanses us within,
Through His Spirit to wipe the loss.
Along with Christ then we have died,
So we are able to be free;
Our bodies were crucified,
So we could eternally see.
