Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
A Peaceful Scene
A full silvery Harvest moon
spreads its warm joyous light
over the golden wheat fields.
The gentle soutwestern wind
blows softly over the dark
oak trees ruffling their leaves.
A soothing serenade echoes
from the rambling stream
as it sings its lovely song to me
while it merrily goes on its way.
Long shadowy pillars of smoke
rise slowly from the chimney
of an ancient cabin snuggly set
amongst the deep green hills beckon me,
spreading waves of comfort through
my heart as I wearily trudge up the
ancient path to my wonderful home.
