The Glory of the Church
Arise and shine for it is dawn,
Get up before the morn is gone;
As glory from God shines His light,
Chasing the darkness from your sight.
Darkness had covered all the earth,
With its evil and sinful mirth;
But the Lord has brought a new day,
For chasing the darkness away.
His glory appears over you,
Shining brightly all the day through;
Kings see how bright is the dawn,
As it shines His mercy upon.
Look up while you look around,
Listen up for the trumpet sound;
People will assemble a crowd,
As they look up into the cloud.
Your sons will come from far away,
Returning back from whence astray;
Your daughters carried in their arms,
In their beauty and all their charms.
The time has come for Christ again,
To take His throne and start His reign;
Judging each and everyone,
Showing victory has been won.
