Sustained Faith
Christ is my light and salvation,
Guiding through my tribulation;
For with Him who then should I fear,
With knowing that my Lord is near.
Because the Lord is my fortress,
I can never be in distress;
So who is there to be afraid,
When He is here rendering aid.
When wrongdoers come upon me,
Wanting to feast on my body;
Even adversaries and foes,
Stumble and fall feeling His blows.
My heart will never be scared,
Because of my soul being spared;
Of the wrath that has not come yet,
To wrap up those who still have a debt.
Although another war may rise,
And the sounding of defeat cries;
I will still have the confidence,
That His Word remains my defense.
Only one thing I desire,
Will be that I may acquire;
A room in His House to reside,
As I keep His Word to abide
