Superior to the Angels
The Son has become greater,
Than a line being straighter;
No angels superior,
And never inferior.
For Jesus will reign supreme,
Honored by those who redeem;
To be the children of God,
Willing to honor and laud.
God never said to angels,
Nor has He said to devils;
That He was now their Father,
Or Christ being their Brother.
He makes His messengers wind,
Punishing those who have sinned;
His servants flame of fire,
Burning evil desire.
For the Son sits on the throne,
That the Father does condone;
In having it forever,
That no one cannot sever.
But no angel is a fool,
Making their foes a footstool;
And they would leave in disgrace,
If they sat in the top place.
