Confident of God
I want to hear what God has said,
And let the words flow through my head;
Because of the promise of peace,
His Holy Spirit will release.
His salvation is very near,
For those believe and truly fear;
But His glory stays in this land,
As others turn to sinking sand.
Mercy and truth already met,
Because the stage has now been set;
Righteousness and peace also kissed,
No longer can the earth resist.
Listen and you will hear the sound,
As the truth sprouts up from the ground;
And righteousness looks from Heaven,
At the goodness God has given.
Then all will notice as they should,
All of what the Lord gave is good;
And our land will produce crops,
With abundance that never stops.
So no need to try to feel grim,
As justice walks ahead of Him;
Staying in front to make a path,
As the Lord is casting His wrath.
