A single raindrop

Once a single raindrop fell…
on a very rainy day
it saw the ground laid out below
but it seemed so far away
it kept on falling far from home
away from mothers cloud
it failed to see the distance grow
till no clouds were around
it met some other rainy drops
on it's long way down
some were big and some were small
though all to earth were bound
the raindrop saw they're all the same
though each single drop alone
it made the raindrop feel at ease
till “splash” it found a home.

We cannot always chose our neighbours
Nor the “place” we end up in!
