Rise Up Like Some Grand Balloon

Come on write something happy.
Come on write something clean.
Come on
make it snappy
Charm the snakes. Keep it mean.
Couldn't we all do with a little more
sunshine,
Couldn't we all do with a few more
laughs
Couldn't we all come together just once,
Forget our differences, loose
the lip, not be a jack ass.
Yeah,
I lost my faith
before I was seven.
Yeah,
the minister took it
and put it in his pocket
one late winter's night.
Yeah,
maybe there is no heaven.
Yeah,
maybe I'm learned helpless
lost my grit n' will to fight.
But
Sometimes
I think I've got it back
for fleeting moments,
til I get a strong cramp
like a knife in my side.
I may seem blue,
but I ain't gonna swell up,
then rise like some
grand balloon.
Well, that is, not for everyone
but for a chosen few.
I do my rising
carefully
and choose my ascensions too.

We are sitting here together. I am writing and he is giving his most honest opinion. Between
the two of us, we'll figure it all out...love you Bee. This is for you n' me, you WISE man.
Some days it feels like us against the whole big blue marble, until I look at you.
