From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
Ankles Deep

Lingering on my lips
A touch for which I yearned
Now that it's satisfied
This bridge she tries to burn
Before her intentions I can learn

How in distress is this damsel
And how long will I ride her carousel
Before I'm thrown for a loop
The krazy kook I am
I'd do it all again

To catch a glimpse
Of those jewelz in that moment
With a smile unparalleled
Even if we were to be
In worlds so different

There would be no misunderstanding
Of how and why I fell
Let me keep it present
With continue to fall
I'll gladly be called klutz

She'll know I'm not perfect
I'm in this ankles deep
Does she realize I'm upside down
You wonder why all this fuss
I'm here trying not to drown

Just falling over and over again
For what's lighting up my world
So angelic the way it upward curves
Tell me Dear Lord
How is it her that I deserve
