Rather Love

Because you are a new creature,
Live in a spiritual nature;
Allowing each of your days through,
As life is directed for you.

Then you will never carry out,
As far as what life is about;
Nor being tempted by the dark,
Where corruption just might embark.

That is not what the desires,
Spiritual nature admires;
It is only things that are God,
That is giving honor and laud.

If the Spirit is your true guide,
Laws of Moses are not applied;
Because you let love rule your heart,
Not allowing it to depart.

There are no laws on joy and peace,
Patience and kindness increase;
With faithfulness and self-control,
Will be occupying your soul.

Those who belong to Jesus Christ,
Know what needs to be sacrificed;
No more needing earthly pleasure,
Because Heaven has your treasure.
