Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Awaiting Winter
Braced against the cool fall winds
I stand against the beautiful back drop
of blazing orange and red leaves
scattered merrily across the limbs
of ancient white oak trees enjoying
the shadows cast by the deep green
northern pines quietly gazing up
at the austere blue gray skies
wondering when the brilliant white
snow shall fall across the golden land
to take away the wondrous joy of Autumn.
